Han characters have been a great influence on several cultures in eastern Asia, just like Latin does for Western cultures. Han characters still can be found in many Asian languages used today.
Han characters are not only playing a key role in understanding cultures, but also having many interesting features, like the evolution of the shape, the beauty of the calligraphy, and the wisdom about the creation of each character.
The Han festival this year starts with the speech that articulates how the modern technology carries on the historical characters, followed by a demo of an App, designed and developed by Taiwan Online Library. The purpose of this App is to help learners to link the pronunciation of objects by scanning the QR code for each word.
There will also be several game stands specially designed for learning about Han characters. For instance, Han Character Spyer Game provides the questions for players tho guess the words according the attributes of the characters. Artcraft stand is for kids to do hands-on craft inspired by the Han characters, especially perfect for young kids. Listening to Han Character stand plays the pronunciation of Chinese words by Cello and the audience can guess the word by listening to the tone.
Through playing games, players will earn the game points for redeeming gifts.
Beside the games, there are lots of exhibited books can be checked out.
In the end of the event, please stay to enjoy the green tea cake and milk tea, a traditional dessert in Taiwan. We would love to meet you and listen to your feedback about this event.
Finally, please sign up to secure your seat and help us prepare the right amount of material.
We looking forward to meeting you.
Best regards,
