Teng-Kuan Wang





Teng-Kuan Wang, a collaborative pianist, born in Taiwan, started studying the piano when he was six and started playing the violin when he was eleven. He joined the music class of Chaiyi Junior High School where he majored in piano and minored in violin. He organized a piano trio compete the chiayi city music competition and won the first prize. From there, he went on to attend the music class of Chaiyi Senior High School. In the three years Kuan a full scholarship from the school for the three years he attended. In 2003, Kuan entered the music department at Soochow University; his majored in piano, and he also played euphonium in the wind orchestra of the music department.

In 2010, Kuan retired from the military band and received a full scholarship to study collaborative piano in a masters program with Lisa Leonard and Tao Lin; he still kept teaching as well. Now Kuan is now participating in the DMA program of Collaborative Piano with Timothy Lovelace and desires to continue his teaching career.
Chieh-Fang Chang





Chieh-Fan Chang, a native of Taiwan, is a trumpet player and educator in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area and in Taiwan. He began his music training under his mother, Shu-Qin Chen, and started playing trumpet in high school. Later, he studied with Dr. Chao-Chen Lin at the Chia-Yi University for his Bachelor of Music degree.

In 2007, Chang studied abroad for his MD in Trumpet Performance at the University of Northern Colorado with Dr. Robert Murray, Dr. Ron Brooks, and Dr. Steve Marx. Currently, he is pursuing his Doctor of Musical Arts in Trumpet Performance with Dr. David Baldwin at the University of Minnesota - School of Music.

Yung-Han Li





Yung-Han Li is a Taiwanese flutist who is also pursuing a DMA for musical performance in from the University of Minnesota.

Li holds an MA in flute performance from New York University and a diploma of professional studies in flute from the Mannes College of Music. During her musical education in New York, she gave a debut flute recital in the Shorin Performance Auditorium in 2008, three flute recitals in the Lloyd Ultan recital hall, and one chamber recital during 2011-2013. In 2013, Ms. Li was the selected artist to perform in the weekend recital in the Forum Auditorium in Taiwan.

Li has participated in various chamber music groups, including a notable performance with the Mannes Baroque Chamber Quartet in the Mannes Concert Hall in 2008, a flute and guitar duet in the Sound from the City Series at the Historical Society in 2009, and the NYU Woodwind Quintet in 2007. She also performed with orchestras at Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Taiwan National Concert Hall, and the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Li was also the winner of the Kung-Jen High School Concerto competitions in 1999 and 2001; she won first place in the Taipei County Young Flutist competition in 2000, and third place in the National Taiwan Young Flutist competition in 1998.

Li will give her chamber recital on May 1st, 2014 in the Lloyd Ultan recital hall, and after completing her musical profession this year, she is looking forward to teaching flute performance art and to inspiring young musicians to appreciate classical music.

Ting-Ting Yen





Ting-Ting Yen was born in Tainan, Taiwan. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from the Taipei National University of the Arts.

In 2008, Yen came to the U.S. and entered the Manhattan School of Music, where she completed her Master’s Degree in Violin Performance in May, 2010. She is currently pursuing her DMA in Violin Performance and MM in Collaborative Piano from the University of Minnesota.

She recently joined the New Mexico Philharmonic as a second section violinist in the fall of 2013.
Amy Wei



Amy Wei was born in Taoyuan, Taiwan in 1987. She began playing the violin when she was five years old and has studied at colleges of music since the age of ten. She received her Bachelor of Music degree at the Taipei Municipal University of Education, Taiwan, and her MM in Violin Performance at Florida State University. She is now a DMA. candidate at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, supervised by Mr. Young-Nam Kim.
Pei-Lei Lin





Pei-Lei Lin was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She began studying the piano at age five; she won first place in the 1999, 2003, and 2005 Taipei City Music Competition as well as third place in the 2005 Taiwan Music Competition. Lin earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the National Taiwan Normal University in in 2010, and as the recipient of a George Lucas Fellowship, she completed her MM in Piano Performance at the University of Texas-Austin in 2012, where she studied with Professor Nancy Garrett. Ms. Lin was awarded a Ude Piano Fellowship at the University of Minnesota and began her doctoral studies with distinguished McKnight professor, Lydia Artymiw, in 2012.

Lin recently received the Suji Lee Scholarship Award presented by the Taiwanese Association of America, Minnesota Chapter (TAAMN). Highlights of her first year in the Twin Cities include winning second place in the 2013 Thursday Musical Competition and an honorable mention in the 2013 Schubert Club Competition, a performance for the "Bach's Birthday" concerts (hosted by Michael Barone) at St. Michael’s Lutheran Church, and performing at Garrison Keillor's home for a University of Minnesota fund-raising soiree honoring Maestro Stanislaw Skrowaczewski.
Hsuan-Wen Lin





Hsuan-Wen Lin is; currently the director of the Conservatory of Music and a music/ orchestra teacher at the Yinghua Academy. She attained her doctoral degree at the University of Minnesota, majoring in violin performance. She is also a qualified Suzuki teacher with the American Suzuki Association.

Lin has frequently performed in professional orchestras and local concerts. In 2008, she was invited to be the concertmaster of the Mississippi Valley Orchestra for the Christmas concert, which was The Nutcracker. In 2009 and 2011, she performed with the New Music Ensemble during the University of Minnesota tour in Wisconsin and Iowa. In 2012, she was invited to be the concertmaster of the National Music Festival. In the same year, one of her performances was featured in World Journal. Her solo recital was covered and published by The Minnesota Daily.

Szu-Ling Wu





Szu-ling Wu was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and began playing the piano at the age of four. She finished her undergraduate education at the National Taipei University of Education. Later, she went to study in America and received her MM and an Artist Diploma in Collaborative Piano from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She received her DMA degree from the University of Minnesota in 2013 and works for the Minnesota Opera Education program and Gustavus Adolphus College as a piano accompanist.
