Violin  
 
鄭凱俐 Kai-Li Cheng

    Kai-Li Cheng coming from Taiwan is studying doctoral of Music of Art with Young-Nam Kim in University of Minnesota. She had attended Banff Music Festival in 2006, “Wiener Meisterkurse Für Musik”, twice in the summer of 2001 and 2002. She was selected to perform in master classes for Arnold Steinhart and Pamela Frank. Not only the master classes but competitions and chamber music did she experience a lot. She is also an active orchestra player, who was selected to work with Sir Nerville Mariner as a principle of second violin and used to be the concertmaster of University Symphony Orchestra.

Violin
  劉德強/Te-Chiang Liu

    Te-Chiang Liu, started the violin at age of six. He was awarded the Top prize at Taiwan National Violin Competition in Youth Division in 1996. Te-Chiang was offered full scholarships to attend the Boston Conservatory where he received the Master Degree in Violin Performance in 2009. He came to University of Minnesota for Doctoral of Music Arts degree to study with Professor Young-Nam Kim.

    Te-Chiang has been a soloist with various orchestras in Taiwan and Australia. In addition, Te-Chiang is enthusiastic about Orchestra music. He was invited to attend Tanglewood Music Festival in 2009 to work closely with Boston Symphony Orchestra. Te-Chiang is currently the substitute musician for both Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra and Minnesota Orchestra.

Violin
 
 
璇雯 Karen Lin

    Karen Lin won several city competitions during her teenage years. In 1996, she was invited to be part of the Taiwanese Teenagers’ Orchestra tour to Germany, France, Austria, Romania, Hungary, and South Africa.

    She has frequently performed in professional orchestras. In 2008, she was invited to be the concertmaster in the Mississippi Valley Orchestra for the Christmas Concert – Nutcracker. She received her Master’s degree in Violin Performance at the University of Minnesota in fall, 2008. She is continuing her doctorate degree program and may devote her career to a full-time professional musician.

林璇雯目前就讀於明尼蘇達大學音樂系小提琴演奏博士班。


Violin/Viola
   鄭仕侃 Kent Cheng

    After graduated from Eastman School of Music, Kent Cheng came to University of Minnesota and studied with Mr.Young-Nam Kim for the doctoral degree of Musical Art. Kent Cheng has been teaching and playing since graduated in 1999. Currently, he works at Symantec as a software engineer.

鄭世侃於1999年取得明尼蘇達大學的音樂博士學位。


Viola
  陳怡名 Yi-Ming Chen
    Yi-Ming Chen is active in playing chamber music. She
received her Doctoral Degree in Violin Performance from University of Minnesota in 2007, where she studied with Young-Nam Kim and also earned her Master’s Degree in 2004.

    She was invited to join the concerts of Chamber Music Society of Minnesota and their Lowertown Noontime series concerts with many guest musicians. During her years at the University, Yi-Ming was a member of the symphony orchestra and the New Music Ensemble, which they toured to University of Wisconsin- Madison and University of Iowa. Her quartet was selected for master classes with Robert Mann and Daedalus Quartet. They were also selected to perform in the Elliott Carter Festival in 2006. Currently she is teaching and freelancing in the Twin Cities.

陳怡名於2007年取得明尼蘇達大學小提琴演奏博士學位。
Cello
  孫韻淳 Jasmin Sun

    Yun-Chun performances have brought her to the major halls in the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. She  Yun-Chun regularly gives recitals and has performed with Kaoshiung City Symphony Orchestra, Tainan City Symphony Orchestra, Chimei Philharmonic Orchestra, and Asian Youth Symphony Orchestra.

    Yun-Chun performed in USA, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan. She was the winner of Masters Concerto and Aria Competition, and performed Rococo Variations for cello and orchestra by Tchaikovsky with the Kenwood Symphony Orchestra. In 2005, Yun-Chun was also awarded the conservatory scholarship and studied with Professor Rhonda Rider at the Boston Conservatory, where she received her masters degree. She is currently a doctoral student at the University of Minnesota, studying with Professor Tanya Remenikova.

Trumpet
  張介凡 Chieh-fan Chang

    Chieh-Fan Chang is currently working on his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in trumpet performance under the direction of Dr. David Baldwin at the University of Minnesota. He received his master degree in trumpet performance under Dr. Robert Murray, Dr. Ron Brooks, and Dr. Steve Marx at the University of Northern Colorado in 2010.

  柯乃方 Nai-fang Ko

    She is the doctoral student in piano performance in University of Minnesota under Alexander Braginsky after receiving her master degree from University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2009.

Flute  
  周惠美 Huei-Mei Jhou

    Huei-Mei Jhou actively performs orchestral, chamber, solo concerts and at music festivals. She received her Masters degree from the University of Miami and received the Frost School of Music scholarship from 2005-2007.

    Currently, she is pursuing her Doctorate in Music Arts at the University of Minnesota under Immanuel Davis. Other principal teachers and noteable mentors include the late Christine Nield-Capote, Jim Walker, Jenny Robinson, Nadine Hur and Linda Nielsen Korducki. Huei-Mei currently is an Assistant Student Choir Teacher at the Hope Academy.
